Bio

Ryan Sheehy is a faculty member in the advertising/public relations division of the Nicholson School of Communication (NSC). Her course offerings include Ad/PR Campaigns, An Introduction to Public Relations, PR Case Students, Visual Communication and Writing for PR. Sheehy is the adviser of Quotes, which is one of the largest student chapters of the Florida Public Relations Association. In May 2008, she created the first ever NSC study abroad program to Dublin, Ireland where she taught International Media to approximately 20 students for four weeks.

Prior to joining UCF, Sheehy led an exciting career in integrated marketing communication for the entertainment industry. As publicist for the Florida Anheuser-Busch Adventure Parks, she was responsible for generating media placement for SeaWorld Orlando and Discovery Cove. At Florida Theatrical Association, she served as director of public relations where she handled media relations, special events and promotional campaigns for national touring Broadway productions.

Sheehy holds a Master of Arts in Corporate Communication and Technology from Rollins College and a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising/Public Relations from UCF. She is active in the community serving as a board member of the Orlando-area Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association, past-chair of the UCF Nicholson of Communication Alumni Chapter, a member of the UCF Alumni Association public relations committee and the former PR adviser for the UCF Kappa Delta Epsilon Omicron Chapter.
